As the lockdown continues and we are trying to adjust in our own ways, dealing with many different challenges and circumstances, we would like to wish you good health and well being, and to let you know that you will get through this, you will persevere and come out better and stronger.
No matter how many breakdowns and giving up phases you may encounter we are here to remind you that you are doing amazing.
There is no right or wrong to how we deal with this, and we need to be a little bit kinder to ourselves, but never forget that you are all warriors even if at the moment your armour is pyjamas 😉 it’s an armour nonetheless.
And your conquests may be dealing with the washing, cooking and cleaning for the umpteenth time, and for those of you with children dealing with not just their school work but turbulent moods and energy but these are all valid challenges.
This pandemic can trigger anxiety for many different reasons but that doesn’t meant we should let it overwhelm us. Taking small steps everyday to better ourselves and build ourselves up can help find the best way to cope with our anxieties.
Nothing is forever.
Such a powerful statement and at times like these so important and relevant.
If there’s anything these unprecedent times have taught is that anything can change within a blink of an eye, and nothing is really within our control.
Apart from us that is.
And changes that happen once will occur again, things that have turned one way, can turn back the other way.
Our whole world has changed, literally, and everything we knew and we’re use to has made a 180 degree turn.
But there’s always light and the end of darkness and no matter how big the grey cloud looms over us we just need to look hard enough to find the silver lining, because trust me it’s there.
These changes we are facing are not easy to adjust to and at times they can seem overwhelming but before we let anxiety take over we need to understand that this isn’t something we can ignore.
We cannot brush the issues aside and think we need to come back and deal with later when we feel up to it.
Challenges are faced all the time, some we can choose to ignore and others that can overwhelm us and trigger anxiety.
What we need to always remember, and what this lockdown has shown us, is that not all challenges can be ignored and no matter how big some tasks may seem, if WE need to deal with them then only WE can overcome them and get through them.
So to help us along for the unknown period of time focus on the here and now, make daily goals for the time being, to help give you focus and routine.
Being at home all day doesn’t necessarily mean having too much time on our hands, sometimes it can have the opposite effect and we end up doing all the things we couldn’t otherwise.
While that can be a good thing thing don’t forget to leave some part of the day for yourself, spend a little time looking after yourself, whether it giving yourself a pamper treatment, reading a book, meditating or taking up forgotten habit, focus some time and energy on yourself daily.
This lockdown is not going to last forever, so while it is here try and make the most of it instead of being overwhelmed by it and letting the time waste away.
You’ve got this.
Reflect. Love. Heal.
