Motivation is a work in progress and requires a recipe for success that is specific to how you are as a person.

It will take trial and error, failure and learning and lots of changes and tweaking.

However it does require a level of organisation, targets and deadlines to work on.

Checklists are a great way to keep you on track of what needs to get done in the coming days and weeks.

Some people like physical lists on the fridge, others keep a diary they work through, notes on your phone or sticky notes on a wall can all assist with keeping a mental list of things you need to get done however little or important the task may be.

Crossing off the completed tasks can give you a sense of achievement and a physical reminder of the fact that completing even mundane tasks can lead to productive days.

They can motivate you to tackle bigger tasks that you might have been avoiding.

Having your short term and long term goals up on the wall, where you are constantly reminded of what you are working towards can push you to keep going on the days where you experience disappointments and failures.

Make the short term goals achievable and the long term goals the big picture you are working towards.

If your day is all over the place, you keep forgetting deadlines, missing appointments or your bills are overwhelmingly stacked in the corner, take back control.

Deal with things head on to make space for you to achieve and thrive in ways that might surprise you.

Tackle the tasks that deter you from progression or demotivate you to get on with the day.

Pay the bills that need immediate attention, reschedule things if they don’t work for you but don’t stick your head in the sand expecting things to improve or miraculously go away.

Your life and how you live it despite the challenges and limitations you face is on you.

Set yourself goals and give yourself deadlines of when you want to achieve them.

Adjust and change your goals as you go along. Dream big, work hard and remember you have everything you need to make the impossible possible.

You will fail and fall but rising back up is on you.

You life will not progress in line with others around you, but with hard work and dedication you will be where you want to be at the perfect time for you.

When you get there it will be worth all the hard work and will be a result of your own talents, achievements, character and the special unique parts of you that make you perfectly you.

Never give up, reach out for help, communicate when you are approaching deadlines you are struggling with, stay on top of things but take breaks and remember if something doesnt go to plan, change the plan.

Don’t let bad days stop you from moving forward.

Sometimes the steps we go back catapault us to our destination faster.

You just have to remind yourself that you’ve got this, you can overcome the challenges that lie ahead and everything will be better than you could have ever dreamed.
